So maybe there have been times when you have a project that you have been meaning to get to but have just not had the time or just don’t feel comfortable doing. Here’s where my extra’s come in. I am known by friends, family and home owners we have house sat for as very handy. I have renovated and sold several homes of my own and helped numerous friends with projects. I love to rebuild, improve things and try to fix anything that is broken. If you need a project done while you are gone I am open to taking a look. My plastering and painting skills are terrific, if I may say so myself, and if you have the tools no job is too big. If you have a project that goes beyond the normal house sit tasks, let’s talk and see if we can come up with a fee that works for both of us.
Below is a quick video of our first sit in Nicaragua. This is a very cute little house that had been uncared for by its previous renter and the owner needed help. There were wires dangling everywhere, walls were purple, green, pink, tile counter tops were smashed and she just looked like a sorry mess. It took me a month but I think you will agree that the end result speaks for itself. Take a look.
I have added another short video below of the next house we house sat in the stunning La Laguna Apoyo, Nicaragua. The owner needed someone to house sit her recently purchased property and take care of her dog while she returned to Canada to see family. This waterfront Laguna location had lots of potential but had not been lived in for over 8 years. You may have a room to be painted or a small project for me but this was a full renovation that required a crew. The budget for this reno was extremely small so it required a lot of making do with what we had. It was a lot of work but we all had great fun doing it.
